6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning Faux Leather: For general cleaning, wipe the faux leather surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For spills, spot clean immediately with a mild soap solution and a clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the material.
- Cleaning Metal Frame: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For smudges or dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
- Floor Protectors: Check the floor protectors on the bottom of the legs regularly. Replace if worn to prevent scratching floors.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Stool wobbles after assembly. | Screws are not evenly tightened. | Loosen all screws slightly, press down on the seat to ensure all legs are touching the floor, then retighten screws evenly in a crisscross pattern. |
| Swivel mechanism feels stiff. | Lack of lubrication or debris in the mechanism. | Ensure the stool is clean. If stiffness persists, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant may be applied to the swivel plate (consult manufacturer if unsure). |
| Scratches on floor. | Worn or missing floor protectors. | Inspect floor protectors on each leg. Replace any worn or missing protectors. |
