Control Panel
The control panel consists of two mechanical dials:
- Power/Function Dial: Used to select the desired cooking mode and power level.
- Timer Dial: Used to set the cooking time.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials. Check for any damage. Do not operate if damaged.
- Placement: Place the oven on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation space: at least 20 cm (8 inches) above, 10 cm (4 inches) at the rear, and 5 cm (2 inches) on each side. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements (230 Volts).
- Internal Components: Place the rotating ring and glass turntable plate inside the oven cavity. If using the grill function, place the metal grill rack on the glass plate.
Operating Instructions
The Girmi FM06 offers three primary cooking modes: Microwave, Grill, and Combined, along with a Defrost function.
Microwave Cooking
- Place food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
- Close the oven door securely.
- Turn the Power/Function Dial to the desired microwave power level:
- Low: For softening butter, thawing.
- Med: For simmering, slower cooking.
- M.High: For reheating, general cooking.
- High: For fast cooking, boiling liquids (700W).
- Turn the Timer Dial to the desired cooking time (up to 30 minutes). The oven will start automatically.
- When the set time expires, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will stop.
Grill Cooking
- Place food on the metal grill rack, which should be placed on the glass turntable.
- Close the oven door securely.
- Turn the Power/Function Dial to Grill (900W).
- Turn the Timer Dial to the desired grilling time.
- For best results, turn food halfway through the grilling time.
- When the set time expires, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will stop.
Combined Cooking
Combined modes allow for simultaneous microwave and grill cooking, ideal for browning and crisping while cooking through.
- Place food on the metal grill rack.
- Close the oven door securely.
- Turn the Power/Function Dial to one of the combined settings:
- Combi.1: (e.g., 30% Microwave, 70% Grill) Suitable for fish, potatoes, or gratin.
- Combi.2: (e.g., 50% Microwave, 50% Grill) Suitable for poultry, omelets, or baked potatoes.
- Combi.3: (e.g., 70% Microwave, 30% Grill) Suitable for quick cooking and browning.
- Turn the Timer Dial to the desired cooking time.
- When the set time expires, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will stop.
Defrost Function
- Place frozen food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
- Close the oven door securely.
- Turn the Power/Function Dial to Defrost.
- Turn the Timer Dial to the desired defrosting time. The time will vary based on the type and weight of the food.
- Periodically check the food and turn it over for even defrosting.
- When the set time expires, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will stop.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your microwave oven.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the oven from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Oven Interior: Wipe the interior cavity after each use with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, place a bowl of water with lemon juice inside and microwave for a few minutes to loosen residue, then wipe clean.
- Oven Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Door and Seals: Regularly clean the door, door seals, and adjacent parts with a damp cloth to remove any spills or splatters.
- Turntable and Rack: The glass turntable and metal grill rack can be washed in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the oven.
