The Midea Duo portable air conditioner is designed for high efficiency and ultra-quiet operation, cooling spaces up to 450 sq. ft. It features an innovative dual-hose design, inverter technology for energy savings, and smart Wi-Fi connectivity for control via the Midea Air app, Alexa, or Google Assistant.

2. Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury when using your air conditioner, follow these basic precautions:
- Read all instructions before using this appliance.
- Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove the grounding prong.
- Do not use an adapter or extension cord.
- Do not operate any air conditioner with a damaged cord or plug.
- Do not block air openings.
- Do not use in wet areas like bathrooms or laundry rooms.

4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to set up your Midea Duo Portable Air Conditioner:
4.1 Unit Placement
Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of clearance around the unit for proper airflow. Do not place the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
4.2 Window Kit Assembly
- Assemble the window panel kit by sliding the adjustable panels together to fit your window opening. The kit is designed to fit windows from 19.05 to 63.86 inches wide or tall.
- Secure the panels in place using the provided screws or clips.
- Insert the window panel assembly into your window opening and extend it to fit snugly. Close the window to hold the panel in place.

4.3 Hose Connection
- Attach the hose adapter to one end of the dual exhaust hose.
- Connect this end to the exhaust opening on the back of the air conditioner unit.
- Attach the other hose adapter to the opposite end of the dual exhaust hose.
- Insert this end into the opening on the window panel kit, ensuring a secure fit to prevent air leakage.

4.4 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a grounded 115V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is suitable for the unit's power requirements (1200 watts).
5. Operation
Your Midea Duo Portable Air Conditioner offers multiple modes and control options for optimal comfort.
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel on top of the unit allows direct access to all functions.

- Power Button: Turns the unit On or Off.
- Mode Button: Cycles through Cool, Dry (Dehumidify), and Fan modes.
- Fan Speed Button: Adjusts fan speed (Low, Medium, High, Auto).
- Temperature Up/Down Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature.
- Timer Button: Sets the auto-on or auto-off timer.
- Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the automatic louver swing.
- Sleep Button: Activates Sleep mode for quiet, energy-efficient operation during sleep.
5.2 Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides cooling. Set your desired temperature and fan speed.
- Dry Mode (Dehumidify): Reduces humidity in the room. The fan speed is fixed to low in this mode.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose your desired fan speed.
5.3 Smart Control (Wi-Fi / App / Voice Assistant)
The Midea Duo can be controlled remotely via Wi-Fi using the Midea Air smartphone app, or through voice commands with Google Assistant and Alexa.
- Download the Midea Air App: Search for "Midea Air" in your smartphone's app store.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect your air conditioner to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Voice Assistant Integration: Link your Midea Air account with Alexa or Google Assistant through their respective apps to enable voice control.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air conditioner.
6.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
- Remove the air filter from the back of the unit.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
6.2 Water Drainage
The unit has an auto-evaporation system, but in high humidity conditions, water may accumulate. The unit will indicate when the water tank is full.
- Unplug the air conditioner.
- Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit.
- Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
- Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
6.3 Seasonal Storage
When storing the unit for an extended period:
- Drain all accumulated water.
- Clean the air filter.
- Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the interior.
- Unplug the power cord and coil it neatly.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
