  • Dethatching Depth: 0 in. (0 mm below soil) to 0.4 in. (10 mm above soil)

5.4 Dethatching vs. Scarifying

Dethatching: Uses spring steel tines to rake and remove accumulated thatch (dead grass, roots, and debris) from the lawn surface. This improves air, water, and nutrient penetration to the soil.

Scarifying: Uses slicing blades to cut into the soil, severing grass roots and creating channels. This encourages new root growth and helps thicken the lawn.

5.5 Emptying the Collection Bag

The collection bag will fill quickly, especially during heavy dethatching. Regularly stop the unit, unplug it, and empty the bag to maintain optimal performance.
