5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the headlamp with a clean, soft cloth to remove dust or dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or lens.

5.2 O-rings

The O-rings provide the waterproof seal for the headlamp. Periodically inspect the O-rings for wear or damage. Replace them with the provided spare O-rings if necessary to maintain the IPX8 waterproof rating.

5.3 USB Port Cover

Always ensure the rubber USB port cover is securely closed when not charging to prevent water and dust ingress, maintaining the headlamp's waterproof capabilities.

5.4 Battery Care

For optimal battery life, charge the battery regularly and avoid fully discharging it for extended periods. If storing the headlamp for a long time, remove the battery or ensure it has a partial charge.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Charging Indicator Flashes Purple

If the charging indicator flashes purple, it signifies abnormal charging. This often occurs if the headlamp's internal circuit is not fully engaged. Ensure both the light head and the tail cap are screwed down tightly. This establishes proper electrical contact for charging. Try re-tightening both ends and reconnecting the charging cable.

6.2 Light Not Turning On

  • Check if the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) end facing the head of the lamp.
  • Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
  • Verify that the battery is charged. If not, attempt to charge it.

6.3 Reduced Brightness or Runtime

  • The battery may be low. Recharge the battery fully.
  • Battery performance can degrade over time. Consider replacing the battery if it no longer holds a charge effectively.
