Midea Cube 50 Pint Dehumidifier

Brand: Midea

Product Overview

The Midea Cube dehumidifier has a unique lift-and-twist design that offers unparalleled flexibility and capacity: when operating in extended form, it has up to 3 times more water tank capacity than traditional dehumidifiers and can run longer without the hassle of frequently emptying the tank; when in nested or drain form, the unit is half the size allowing compact storage or flexible draining. It can fit into most rooms and maintain the desired humidity level in your home. The patented sensor and wi-fi enabled app allow you to monitor the humidity and water level, all at your fingertips. With multi-directional air intake and up to three different fan speeds, it is powerful enough to dehumidify your room, and quiet enough that you'll forget it's even there.

The unique lift-and-twist design allows for unparalleled flexibility. To extend the unit, simply lift the top section by its handle and twist it 90 degrees to lock it into the extended position on top of the water bucket. To nest it for storage, reverse the process.

Water Drainage Options

The Midea Cube offers multiple drainage solutions for continuous operation without frequent manual emptying:

  1. Manual Emptying: The large 4.2-gallon water tank allows for extended operation. When full, the unit will automatically shut off, and the handle on the top unit makes it easy to lift and pour out collected water.
  2. Built-in Pump: The built-in water pump easily drains vertically or horizontally into a sink or out of a window (16 feet drain tube included). The bucket never needs emptying again.
  3. Continuous Drain Option: Versatile, no-bucket option provides more flexibility to remove moisture. You can remove the water tank and place the unit above the sink using the included drain hose, or position it over a floor drain, near a window or door.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Midea Cube dehumidifier.

  • Cleaning: Clean your air conditioner occasionally to keep it looking new.Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning to prevent shock or fire hazards.
  • Filter Reset: The control panel includes a "FAN reset filter (3s)" button. Refer to the user manual for specific filter cleaning or replacement instructions and when to reset the filter indicator.
  • Auto-Defrost: The auto-defrost function prevents the collected water from being frozen and doing harm to the machine.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Midea Cube dehumidifier, consider the following common solutions:

  • Unit Not Operating: Check if the unit is properly plugged in. Ensure the water tank is not full; if it is, empty it. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full to prevent overflow.
  • No Water Collection: Verify that the desired humidity level is set lower than the current room humidity. Ensure the unit is placed in an area with adequate air circulation.
  • Unusual Noise: Check for any obstructions in the air intake or fan. Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface.
  • Smart Control Issues: Confirm your Wi-Fi connection is stable. Restart the SmartHome app or re-pair the device if connectivity problems persist.
  • Power Outage: The auto-restart function will resume previous settings once power is restored.
