An internal shelf helps organize items efficiently.

Assembly is required for this storage deck box. It is recommended to have two people for easier assembly. All necessary accessories and hardware are included. Follow the steps carefully.

4.1 Preparation

  • Clear a spacious, flat area for assembly.
  • Unpack all components and lay them out, identifying each part by its label or description in the parts list.
  • Ensure you have the included Allen wrench and any additional tools if preferred (e.g., a small cordless drill with hex heads for faster bolt tightening, as suggested by some users).

4.2 Assembly Steps

  1. Assemble the Base Frame: Attach the side panels to the bottom panel using the provided hardware. Important: Do not fully tighten bolts until all components are in place to allow for adjustments.
  2. Install the Back Panel: Secure the back panel to the assembled base and side panels. Ensure correct orientation; some users have noted the brand plaque might indicate the top/bottom.
  3. Insert the Internal Shelf: Slide the internal shelf into the designated slots or attach it to the support brackets inside the box.
  4. Attach the Front Doors: Mount the two front doors to the front frame using the hinges. Ensure they open and close smoothly. Install the magnetic snaps to secure the doors when closed.
  5. Attach the Top Lid: Secure the top lid to the main frame using the hinges. Attach the two gas bars to the lid and the side panels. These gas bars assist in smooth opening and closing of the lid.
  6. Final Tightening: Once all components are correctly aligned and in place, proceed to fully tighten all bolts and screws.

5.3 Utilizing the Internal Shelf

The internal shelf provides organized storage for smaller items, maximizing the vertical space within the 73-gallon capacity. Place items on the shelf or in the larger compartment below as needed.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

The PE rattan and steel construction are designed for easy cleaning. Simply wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly.

6.2 Weather Protection

While the deck box is weather-resistant, it is recommended to use an additional protective cover during prolonged periods of harsh weather, such as heavy rain, snow, or intense sun, to extend its lifespan and maintain its appearance.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Lid or Doors Not Closing Properly:

Check for any obstructions. Ensure all assembly bolts are tightened, but not over-tightened, which could warp the frame. Verify that the magnetic snaps are correctly aligned and functioning.

  • Lid Pops Open in Wind:

The magnetic snaps on the front doors are designed to secure them. If the top lid is not staying closed in windy conditions, consider adding additional weight inside or securing it with an external latch if necessary.

  • Assembly Difficulties / Holes Not Aligning:

Ensure all bolts are left loose during initial assembly. This allows for flexibility to align all parts before final tightening. Refer to the detailed instruction manual provided in the package. If issues persist, double-check part orientation.

  • Water Inside the Box:

While the box is water-resistant, it is not fully waterproof. Ensure the box is placed on a level surface. In heavy rain, some moisture may enter. For sensitive items, consider using waterproof bags or an internal liner.
