Safety Information

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The safe requires 8 AA batteries (not included) for operation. Four batteries are for the keypad, and four for the external battery pack.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. For the external battery box, insert the remaining 4 AA batteries. This box is used for emergency power if internal batteries fail.

2. Initial Opening

Upon first use, open the safe using the master key:

  1. Insert the master key into the keyhole on the digital panel.
  2. Turn the key clockwise to unlock.
  3. Rotate the main knob to open the safe door.

3. Mounting (Optional)

For maximum security, the safe can be bolted to a wall or floor. The safe features pre-drilled holes on the back.

  1. Position the safe in the desired location.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe's back.
  3. Drill holes into the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts.

Operating Instructions

1. Setting/Changing Passcodes

The safe supports a dual account system, allowing two separate user codes.

  1. With the safe door open, press the "Reset" button located on the inside of the door (usually a small red button or indicated by an arrow).
  2. The keypad will illuminate. Enter your desired new passcode (3-8 digits).
  3. Confirm the passcode by pressing the "#" key.
  4. Repeat the process to set a second user code if desired.

2. Opening the Safe

The safe offers two security modes: Standard and Maximum.

  • Standard Security Mode (Code Only):
    1. Touch the keypad to activate.
    2. Enter your passcode followed by the "#" key.
    3. Rotate the main knob clockwise within 5 seconds to open the door.
  • Maximum Security Mode (Key and Code):
    1. Insert the master key into the keyhole on the digital panel and turn it clockwise.
    2. Touch the keypad to activate.
    3. Enter your passcode followed by the "#" key.
    4. Rotate the main knob clockwise within 5 seconds to open the door.
  • Emergency Opening (if batteries fail or code forgotten):
    1. Connect the external battery box to the port on the keypad.
    2. Insert the master key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
    3. Rotate the main knob to open the door.

3. Inner Locking Box

The safe includes an internal locking box for additional privacy and security for smaller, highly valuable items.

  • To open, insert the inner door key into the lock on the internal box.
  • Turn the key to unlock and open the compartment.

4. Alarm System

The safe is equipped with a dual alarm system for enhanced security:

  • Vibration Alarm: If the safe experiences violent vibration or is tampered with, the alarm will activate.
  • Incorrect Entry Alarm: After three consecutive incorrect passcode entries, the alarm system will activate.
  • To stop the alarm, enter the correct passcode.

5. Inner LED Light

The built-in LED light provides increased visibility inside the safe, especially in low-light conditions. The light automatically illuminates when the door is opened.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator illuminates on the keypad, replace all 8 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior and interior surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Moisture Control: The included desiccant bag helps absorb moisture. Replace it periodically if it becomes saturated or if you notice increased humidity inside the safe.
