2. Setup

2.1 Unboxing

Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. Ensure all protective films are removed from the watch face and back before use.

2.2 Initial Power On

The watch is pre-installed with a battery and should be operational upon unboxing. If the display is blank, press any button to activate it. If it remains blank, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

2.3 Time and Date Setting

To set the time and date on your XINJIA XJ-832 watch, follow these steps:

1. From the normal time display mode, press the MODE button three times to enter the time setting mode. The seconds digits will begin to flash.
2. Press the RESET button to cycle through the setting options: Seconds → Hours → Minutes → Month → Date → Day of the Week.
3. While the desired digit or setting is flashing, press the START button to adjust the value. Hold the START button to quickly advance the numbers.
4. Once all settings are adjusted, press the MODE button once to return to the normal time display mode.

Note: The watch typically uses a 12-hour format with AM/PM indicators. Ensure you set the correct AM/PM when adjusting the hour.

3.1 Button Functions

• LIGHT Button (Top Left): Activates the luminous backlight for easy viewing in low-light conditions.
• MODE Button (Bottom Left): Cycles through different modes: Normal Time → Stopwatch → Alarm Setting → Time/Date Setting.
• START Button (Top Right): Used to start/stop the stopwatch, adjust values in setting modes, and activate the alarm.
• RESET Button (Bottom Right): Used to reset the stopwatch, cycle through setting options, and turn off the alarm.

3.2 Using the Luminous Display

Press the LIGHT button (top left) to illuminate the watch face. The backlight will remain on for a few seconds, allowing you to read the time in the dark.

3.3 Using the Alarm Function

To set the alarm:

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button twice to enter the alarm setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
2. Press the START button to adjust the hour.
3. Press the RESET button to switch to minute setting.
4. Press the START button to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the MODE button to exit the alarm setting mode.

To turn the alarm on/off: In normal time display, press and hold the START button and then press the RESET button simultaneously. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

To stop a sounding alarm: Press any button.

3.4 Using the Stopwatch (Timing Function)

To use the stopwatch:

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button once to enter the stopwatch mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
2. Press the START button to begin timing.
3. Press the START button again to pause timing.
4. While paused, press the RESET button to reset the stopwatch to "00:00:00".
5. Press the MODE button to return to the normal time display.

3.5 Viewing Date and Day of the Week

From the normal time display, press and hold the START button to momentarily display the date and day of the week. Release the button to return to the time display.

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your watch, wipe it gently with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or internal components. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.

4.2 Water Resistance

The XINJIA XJ-832 watch is rated for 30M (3ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is NOT suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, diving, or any activities involving high-pressure water or prolonged immersion. Do not operate buttons when the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water seal.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The watch uses a standard button cell battery. When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it may be time to replace the battery.
