Key Features

  • DOT approved, meeting FMVSS 218 Standard for safety.
  • Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) shell construction for durability and light weight.
  • Pinlock-ready, 3D optically correct shield with a Quick Release System for clear vision and easy changes.
  • Integrated inner drop-down sun shield for adaptable vision in varying light conditions.
  • Fully removable and washable comfort liner for hygiene and long-term comfort.

Setup and Initial Use

Before your first ride, ensure the helmet is properly fitted and all components are securely in place. Proper fit is crucial for both comfort and safety.

1. Sizing and Fit

Refer to the sizing guide to ensure you have the correct helmet size. The helmet should fit snugly around your head without causing pressure points. The cheek pads should make firm contact with your cheeks. If the helmet moves freely when you shake your head, it is too large.

2. Visor Preparation

Remove any protective films from both the outer clear faceshield and the inner drop-down sun shield before use. Ensure the faceshield is securely attached to the helmet's quick release system.

3. Chin Strap Adjustment

Fasten the chin strap securely. The strap should be tight enough so that you cannot pull the helmet off your head when pulling upwards from the rear, but not so tight as to cause discomfort or restrict breathing. Ensure the D-ring or quick-release buckle is properly engaged.

Operation

Understanding the helmet's features will enhance your riding experience and safety.

1. Faceshield Operation

The clear faceshield can be opened and closed using the tab located at the bottom center. It features multiple detent positions to allow for varying levels of airflow. To remove the faceshield for cleaning or replacement, utilize the Quick Release System mechanisms on either side of the helmet.

2. Inner Drop-Down Sun Shield

The integrated sun shield is operated by a slider mechanism, typically located on the left side of the helmet near the pivot point of the main faceshield. Slide it down for sun protection and up when not needed. This shield is designed for daytime use and should not be used in low light conditions or at night.

3. Ventilation System

The helmet features adjustable vents on the chin bar and at the top of the helmet. These can be opened or closed to control airflow. The rear spoiler and side venturi vents work to exhaust hot air, providing dynamic flow-through ventilation. Adjust these vents according to weather conditions and personal comfort.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life and effectiveness of your helmet.

1. Shell Cleaning

Clean the helmet shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the KPA material and paint finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, clean cloth.

2. Visor and Sun Shield Cleaning

Clean the faceshield and sun shield with warm water and a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt or insects, soak a soft cloth in warm water and lay it over the shield for a few minutes to loosen debris before gently wiping clean. Do not use abrasive materials or chemical cleaners that can scratch or damage the optical coatings.

3. Removable Liner Care

The interior comfort liner is fully removable and washable. Gently detach the liner components from the helmet. Hand wash with mild soap and cool water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in a laundry bag. Air dry completely before reinstalling into the helmet. Ensure no moisture remains to prevent mildew.

4. Storage

Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches when not in use.
