Setup Guide

Setting up your Roku Express 4K+ is quick and easy. Follow these steps to begin streaming in minutes.

1. Connect to Your TV

Plug the included Premium High Speed HDMI Cable into the HDMI port on your Roku Express 4K+ player and then into an available HDMI input on your TV.

2. Power Your Roku Device

Connect the USB power cable to the micro-USB port on your Roku player. You can either plug the other end into the included power adapter and then into a wall outlet, or directly into a USB port on your TV if it provides sufficient power (5V 1A).

3. Initial Setup and Remote Pairing

Once powered on, your TV should display the Roku logo. Insert the included AAA batteries into your Voice Remote. The remote should automatically pair with your Roku player. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to manually pair it.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi and Account Creation

Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your Roku player to your home Wi-Fi network. You will then be guided to create a free Roku account or sign in to an existing one. This account is necessary to add channels and access streaming services.

Operating Your Roku Express 4K+

The Roku Express 4K+ is designed for intuitive navigation and seamless streaming.

Voice Remote Functions

The included Voice Remote simplifies finding content and controlling your TV. It features dedicated buttons for popular streaming services and integrated TV controls.

• Voice Search & Control: Press and hold the microphone button to search for movies, shows, actors, or launch channels using your voice.
• TV Controls: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and mute directly from your Roku remote. Your TV must support HDMI CEC for these functions to work.
• App Shortcuts: Quickly access your favorite streaming services with dedicated buttons for Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and Paramount+.

Navigating the Interface

The Roku home screen is customizable, allowing you to arrange your favorite channels for quick access. Use the directional pad on your remote to browse through channels and menus.

Streaming Content

Maintenance and Care

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Roku Express 4K+ device, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Software Updates: Your Roku device will automatically receive software updates to ensure you have the latest features and security enhancements. Ensure your device is connected to the internet regularly.
• Ventilation: Place your Roku Express 4K+ in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or on top of other heat-generating electronics to prevent overheating.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Roku Express 4K+, refer to the common troubleshooting steps below:

• No Picture/No Signal: Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both your Roku player and your TV. Verify that your TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
• Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Double-check the network you selected and that you entered your password correctly. If you have other devices connected to this network, your streaming player should connect. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router and your Roku device.
• Remote Not Responding: Ensure the batteries in your Voice Remote are fresh and correctly inserted. If the remote is not paired, follow the on-screen instructions or refer to the setup guide for manual pairing.
• TV Controls Not Working (Volume/Power): Your TV needs to support HDMI CEC for these controls to function. Check your TV's settings to ensure HDMI CEC (sometimes called Anynet+, Bravia Sync, etc.) is enabled.
