Troubleshooting
If your heater is not operating as expected, consult the following common issues and solutions:
- Heater does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V AC outlet.
- Check if the control dial is set to a heat or fan mode, not 'OFF'.
- Verify the tip-over switch on the bottom of the unit is fully depressed. The heater must be on a firm, level surface.
- Check your household circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Heater produces a burning smell:
- A slight odor is normal during the first few uses as manufacturing residues burn off. Ensure good ventilation.
- If the smell persists or is strong, unplug the unit and contact customer support.
- Heater stops working unexpectedly:
- The two-stage automatic safety shut-off system may have activated due to overheating. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool for 30 minutes, and ensure air intakes/exhausts are not blocked before restarting.
- The tip-over protection may have activated if the unit was bumped or moved. Ensure it is on a stable surface.
