4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

4.2 Battery Replacement

When the display dims significantly or the clock functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 2.1. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AA batteries.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Display is dim or unreadable: Ensure the 'Night Light Mode' (continuous backlight) is enabled if you require constant illumination in low-light conditions. The display's contrast may appear lower in bright ambient light. Replace batteries if the display remains dim.
  • Alarm does not sound: Verify that the alarm is activated using the ON/OFF switch. Check that the alarm time is correctly set. Ensure batteries are not depleted.
  • Clock not keeping accurate time: Replace batteries. If the issue persists, ensure the clock is not exposed to extreme temperatures or strong magnetic fields.
