5. Setup
- Connect Battery Clamps: Attach the red positive (+) clamp to the positive battery terminal. Attach the black negative (-) clamp to the negative battery terminal.
- Plug into Power: Connect the charger's power cord to a standard 110-265V AC wall outlet.
- Select Mode: The charger will automatically detect the battery voltage. Use the 'Mode Selection' button to choose the appropriate charging mode (e.g., CAR/TRUCK, Motorcycle, AGM, Repair).

6. Operating Modes
The charger offers 6 distinct operating modes, selectable via the 'Mode Selection' button. The LCD display will indicate the currently active mode.
- CAR/TRUCK Mode: For standard 12V batteries (up to 8A output) and 24V batteries (up to 4A output).
- Motorcycle Mode: For smaller batteries (6Ah-30Ah), providing a lower charge current (1.5A for 12V/24V). This mode can also be used to maintain or trickle charge larger batteries.
- AGM Mode: Specifically designed for AGM and Calcium batteries.
- Repair Mode: Utilizes pulse repair technology to desulfate and recondition batteries that are not holding a charge well. This mode cannot revive completely dead or severely damaged batteries.
- Summer Mode: Automatically adjusts charging parameters for optimal performance in warmer temperatures.
- Winter Mode: Automatically adjusts charging parameters for optimal performance in colder temperatures.

7. Charging Process
Once connected and a mode is selected, the charger will automatically begin its 3-stage charging process: fast charge, top-off, and trickle charge. The LCD display provides real-time information:
- Charging Voltage and Current: Displays the current voltage and amperage being delivered to the battery.
- Internal Temperature: Shows the internal temperature of the charger, which is important for safe operation.
- Charging Mode: Indicates the active charging mode (e.g., Summer, Winter, CAR/TRUCK).
- Battery Level Indicator: A visual representation of the battery's charge status.

8. Maintenance
The FOXSUR FBC1994 acts as a battery maintenance device. Its Pulse Repair function can help to recondition and extend the life of batteries that are showing signs of sulfation. For optimal battery life, it is recommended to use the maintenance function regularly, especially for vehicles stored for extended periods.
Note: The Pulse Repair function cannot activate a completely dead battery or repair a battery that is severely damaged. It also cannot restore a battery to 100% new condition.
9. Troubleshooting
- 'ERO' Display: If the LCD displays 'ERO', this indicates a reverse connection (positive and negative clamps are swapped) or an output short-circuit. Disconnect the charger immediately, correct the connection, and restart the charging process.
- No Display/No Charging: Ensure the charger is properly plugged into a live power outlet and that the battery clamps are securely connected to the correct terminals. Check for any loose connections.
- Charger Overheating: The built-in circuit protection will prevent overheating. If the charger feels excessively hot, disconnect it and allow it to cool down in a well-ventilated area before resuming use.
