Setup and Installation
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
- Slide open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Placement
The CX-501 can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole on the back. For accurate readings, place the unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts.

Operating Instructions
Display Overview

- Time/Clock: Displays the current time.
- Week: Shows the current day of the week.
- Humidity: Indicates the current relative humidity percentage.
- Temperature: Shows the current temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
- Forecast: Provides a general weather forecast icon.
- Comfort Level: An icon indicating the comfort level based on temperature and humidity.
- Temperature Trend: Graphically displays temperature changes over the last 12 hours.
Button Functions
- MODE Button: Used to switch between time display modes (e.g., 12/24 hour) and enter setting modes for time and alarm.
- ADJ Button: Used to adjust values when in setting mode (e.g., setting time, alarm).
- MAX/MIN Button: Press to view the maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity values. Press again to cycle through current, maximum, and minimum readings.
- °C/°F Button: Toggles the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- SNZ Button (Snooze): Activates the snooze function when an alarm is sounding.
- LIGHT Button: Activates the backlight for improved visibility in low light conditions.
Setting the Time and Date
- Press and hold the MODE button for a few seconds until the time display starts flashing.
- Use the ADJ button to adjust the hour.
- Press MODE again to move to the minute setting, then use ADJ to adjust.
- Continue pressing MODE to cycle through year, month, and day settings, adjusting each with the ADJ button.
- Once all settings are complete, press MODE one last time to exit the setting mode.
The device automatically records and displays temperature trends over a 12-hour period. The weather forecast icon is based on humidity changes and is for reference only.
Maintenance
- Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity for prolonged periods.
- If the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the batteries.
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
