Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Turn the feeder upside down.
- Locate the battery compartment cover.
- Remove the cover and insert 3 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Setting the Clock
- With batteries installed, the digital display will activate.
- Press the 'SET' button to enter clock setting mode.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the hour. Press 'SET' to confirm.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the minute. Press 'SET' to confirm.

3. Filling the Feeder
- Remove the clear lid and the removable food tray.
- Fill each of the five compartments with your pet's desired wet or dry food. Ensure not to overfill.
- Place the food tray back into the feeder unit.
- Replace the clear lid, ensuring it is securely closed.

4. Placing Ice Packs (Optional, for Wet Food)
- Freeze the two provided ice packs for at least 6 hours.
- Before placing the food tray, insert the frozen ice packs into the designated slots on the base of the feeder unit.
- Place the filled food tray on top of the ice packs.
Operating Instructions: Programming Meal Times
The Closer Pets C500 allows you to program up to 5 meal times. The feeder will rotate to the next available compartment at each programmed time.
- Press the 'PROG' button to enter programming mode. The display will show '1' for the first meal.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired hour for the first meal. Press 'PROG' to confirm.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired minute for the first meal. Press 'PROG' to confirm.
- Repeat steps 2-3 for meals 2, 3, 4, and 5. If you do not wish to program all 5 meals, simply press 'PROG' repeatedly until the display returns to the current time.
- To review programmed meal times, press 'PROG' repeatedly.
- To cancel a programmed meal time, navigate to that meal number in programming mode and press the 'CANCEL' button.
The feeder will automatically rotate to present the next meal at the scheduled time. The first meal will be the one currently visible in the open compartment.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- The removable food tray and lid are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
- The main feeder unit (containing electronics) should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling.
Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace all 3 x AA batteries promptly. It is recommended to replace batteries within 1 minute to retain programmed settings.
