General Operation:

  3. Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Select the desired speed:
    • Low: For softer ingredients or tasks requiring less power.
    • High: For tougher ingredients or tasks requiring more power.
    • Off/Pulse: Press and hold for short bursts of power, ideal for chopping or controlling consistency. Release to stop.
  5. When processing is complete, press the 'Off/Pulse' button to stop the motor. Unplug the appliance before disassembling.

The Exact Slice disc allows you to adjust slicing thickness externally. Locate the lever on the side of the lid. Move the lever to select your desired thickness, from thin to thick, before or during operation.

Care and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your food processor.

  • Always unplug the food processor before cleaning.
  • The work bowl, lid, and all blades/discs are dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  • For quick cleaning of the work bowl and blades, add warm water and 1-2 drops of dish soap to the leak-resistant bowl. Secure the lid and pulse for a few seconds, then rinse.
  • Wipe the food processor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or other liquids.
  • Store all blades and discs in the included storage caddy, which nestles directly inside the 13-cup bowl.

Troubleshooting

If your food processor is not operating as expected, please check the following:

  • Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet. Verify that the work bowl and lid are correctly assembled and securely latched. The safety interlock system prevents operation if components are not properly aligned.
  • Motor stops during operation: The appliance may have overheated. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use it again. Reduce the load if processing very dense ingredients.
  • Ingredients are not processing evenly: Ensure you are not overfilling the work bowl. Process ingredients in smaller batches if necessary. For slicing/shredding, ensure ingredients fit properly in the feed tube.
