Maintenance
Cleaning the Cooking Grates
After each use, while the grates are still warm, brush off any food residue with a grill brush. For deeper cleaning, remove the grates and wash with warm soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Cleaning the Flavorizer Bars and Burner Tubes
Periodically, remove the cooking grates and Flavorizer bars. Scrape off any accumulated debris from the Flavorizer bars. Use a clean grill brush to gently brush the burner tubes to clear any clogged port holes.
Grease Management System
Regularly check and clean the grease management system, including the catch pan and disposable drip tray. Replace the drip tray as needed to prevent grease fires.
Exterior Cleaning
Clean the exterior surfaces with a mild soap and water solution. For stainless steel parts, use a stainless steel cleaner and polish in the direction of the grain.
Storage
When not in use, store the grill in a dry, protected area. If storing outdoors, use a weather-resistant grill cover. Disconnect the gas cylinder if storing for an extended period.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Burner not igniting | No gas flow; clogged burner ports; faulty igniter. | Check gas cylinder connection and valve; clean burner ports; check igniter electrode and wire. |
| Low flame or uneven heat | Low gas in cylinder; regulator bypass activated; clogged burner ports. | Replace or refill cylinder; reset regulator (turn off grill and cylinder, disconnect, wait, reconnect, open cylinder slowly); clean burner ports. |
| Grease fire | Excess grease buildup. | Turn off gas supply; keep lid open; do NOT use water. Let fire burn out. Clean grill thoroughly before next use. |
| Gas smell | Gas leak. | Immediately turn off gas supply. Perform a leak test with soap and water. If leak persists, do not use and contact customer support. |
