4. Operating Instructions
Correct Way of Measurement:
Proper positioning is crucial for accurate blood pressure readings. Follow these steps carefully:
- Wear & Adjust: Adjust the cuff and wrap it around your left wrist with your palm facing up. The cuff length is approximately 5.31”–7.68”.
- Keep 1-finger Distance: Ensure there is about 1-2 cm distance between the top of the machine and your hand.
- Start to Measuring: Sit up straight and relax for at least 5 minutes before measurement. Keep the wrist cuff at your heart level during the measurement.

Figure 4.1: Correct Measurement Procedure. This visual guide illustrates the three key steps for accurate blood pressure measurement: wearing and adjusting the cuff, maintaining a 1-2 cm distance from the hand, and positioning the device at heart level while seated and relaxed.
Taking a Measurement:
Once positioned correctly, taking a measurement is simple:
- Press the 'START/STOP' button. The cuff will begin to inflate automatically.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete (typically less than 1 minute), your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the LCD.
- The device will automatically store the reading and shut off after a period of inactivity.
Dual User Mode and Memory Function:
The monitor supports two users and stores up to 99 readings for each user, totaling 198 readings with date and time stamps.

Figure 4.2: Dual User Mode and Memory. This image demonstrates how the monitor supports two users, each with 99 reading memory, allowing easy tracking of blood pressure trends over time.
- Switching Users: When the device is off, press the 'SET' button briefly to toggle between User 1 and User 2. The selected user icon will be displayed.
- Accessing Memory: After a measurement or when the device is off, press the 'MEM' button to view past readings. Each press will cycle through the stored measurements from most recent to oldest for the selected user.
Irregular Heartbeat Indicator:
If an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement, a specific symbol will appear on the display. If this symbol appears frequently, please consult your physician.

- Green Zone: Indicates ideal blood pressure.
- Yellow Zone: Indicates pre-high blood pressure.
- Red Zone: Indicates high blood pressure.
