4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Attaching the Back Support to a Chair

4.2 Connecting Power

  1. Locate the receptacle on the back of the HoMedics Contouring Back Support.
  2. Connect the digital LCD controller's cord into this receptacle. The plug is designed to connect in either orientation.
  3. Plug the power cord from the controller into a standard electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  1. Press the Power button on the handheld LCD controller to turn the unit on. A small light will illuminate, indicating the unit is powered.
  2. Press the Power button again to turn the unit off.

5.2 Adjusting Heat Settings

  1. After powering on, use the Up or Down arrow buttons on the LCD controller to select your desired heat intensity. There are 6 heat settings available, from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest).
  2. The selected heat level number will display on the LCD screen and then dim after approximately 30 seconds. The heat will begin to be felt almost immediately, reaching full temperature within one minute.

5.3 Automatic Shutoff

  • Unit Shuts Off Unexpectedly: The unit features a 2-hour automatic shutoff. If it turns off before 2 hours, check the power connection. If issues persist, contact customer support.
