1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the DSP Hand Mixer KM2021. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and retain them for future reference.

The DSP Hand Mixer KM2021 is designed for various kitchen tasks, including beating eggs, whisking creams, and mixing batters, making food preparation easier and more efficient.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before operating the mixer.
  • To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the mixer body, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beaters during operation to prevent injury and/or damage to the mixer.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact customer service for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
  • The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
  • Do not let cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.
  • Ensure the voltage rating on the appliance matches your local power supply (220 Volts).

Components:

  • Main Mixer Unit: Contains the motor, speed control knob, and attachment insertion slots.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Clean Attachments: Before first use, wash the beaters and dough hooks in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Insert Attachments: Select the appropriate attachments for your task. Insert the stems of the beaters or dough hooks into the openings on the underside of the mixer until they click into place. Ensure they are securely locked.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the mixer's power cord into a standard 220V electrical outlet.

Note: Always ensure the mixer is unplugged before inserting or removing attachments.

5. Operating Instructions

The DSP Hand Mixer KM2021 features 6 speed settings for versatile mixing.

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place your ingredients in a suitable mixing bowl.
  2. Select Speed: Turn the speed control knob to the desired setting. Start with a lower speed (1-2) to prevent splashing, then gradually increase as needed.
    • Speeds 1-2: For slow stirring, combining dry ingredients, or mixing thin batters.
    • Speeds 3-4: For mixing cakes, puddings, or thick batters.
    • Speeds 5-6: For whisking eggs, whipping cream, or kneading dough with dough hooks.
  3. Begin Mixing: Lower the attachments into the ingredients before turning the mixer on. Move the mixer slowly around the bowl to ensure even mixing.
  4. Stop Mixing: Once mixing is complete, turn the speed control knob to the "0" (off) position.
  5. Eject Attachments: Unplug the mixer from the power outlet. Press the eject button to release the beaters or dough hooks.

Caution: Do not operate the mixer continuously for more than 5 minutes. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes before resuming operation to prevent overheating.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your hand mixer.

  1. Unplug: Always ensure the mixer is unplugged from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Clean Attachments: Remove the beaters or dough hooks. Wash them immediately after use in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing. They may also be dishwasher safe (refer to product markings if available).
  3. Clean Mixer Body: Wipe the exterior of the main mixer unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers. Never immerse the mixer body in water or any other liquid.
  4. Storage: Store the mixer and its attachments in a dry, clean place. The compact design allows for easy storage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your DSP Hand Mixer KM2021, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
