2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The Xbox Core Wireless Gaming Controller uses two AA batteries. To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the controller.
- Press the small tab and lift the battery cover to remove it.
- Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and - ends).
- Replace the battery cover, pressing down until it clicks into place.

2.2 Initial Pairing
Your controller can connect wirelessly via Xbox Wireless or Bluetooth technology.
For Xbox Consoles (Xbox Wireless):
- Turn on your Xbox console.
- Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller to turn it on.
- Press the Pair button on your Xbox console (usually on the front or side).
- Press and hold the Pair button on the top of your controller until the Xbox button flashes rapidly.
- The Xbox button will glow solid when connected.
For Windows PCs, Android, and iOS Devices (Bluetooth):
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.

- Press and hold the Pair button on the top of your controller until the Xbox button flashes rapidly.
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Xbox Wireless Controller" from the list of available devices.

You can also connect the controller directly to your console or PC using a USB-C cable (not included) for plug-and-play functionality.
