Setup
- Insert SIM Card(s) and SD Card:
Locate the SIM tray on the side of your device. Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the tray. Carefully place your Nano-SIM card(s) and/or microSD card into the designated slots. Ensure the cards are correctly oriented as indicated on the tray. Close the tray securely.
- Charge the Device:
Connect the data cable to the charging port on your phone and the power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. Allow the phone to charge until it reaches a sufficient battery level before first use.
- Power On:
Press and hold the Power button (usually on the right side) until the TECNO logo appears on the screen. The device will boot up.
- Initial Setup Wizard:
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup. This includes selecting your language, connecting to a Wi-Fi network, signing in with your Google account, and setting up security features like fingerprint and Face Unlock.
Operating Instructions
Basic Navigation:
- Home Screen: Swipe left or right to access different home screen panels.
- App Drawer: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the app drawer and view all installed applications.
- Notifications Panel: Swipe down from the top of the screen to access notifications and quick settings.
- Recent Apps: Tap the square navigation button (or swipe up and hold from the bottom if using gestures) to view and switch between recently used applications.
Making Calls:
Open the Phone app, enter the phone number using the dial pad, and tap the call icon. To answer an incoming call, swipe up on the screen. To reject, swipe down.
Sending Messages:
Open the Messages app, tap the "Start chat" or "+" icon to compose a new message. Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts, then type your message and tap send.
Using the Camera:
Open the Camera app. Tap the shutter button to take a photo. Swipe left or right on the screen to switch between different camera modes (e.g., Photo, Video, Portrait). Tap the camera switch icon to toggle between the front and rear cameras.
Maintenance
- Battery Care:
To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures. Do not let the battery drain completely before recharging regularly. Use the original charger and cable provided with your device.
- Software Updates:
Regularly check for and install system updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Go to Settings > System > System update.
