2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport.
2.2 Placement
Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the unit to allow for proper airflow and efficient operation. Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in areas with excessive dust. The integrated casters allow for easy repositioning.
2.3 Power Connection
Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. For safety, ensure the outlet is properly grounded.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features intuitive buttons and a digital display for easy operation.

3.2 Operating Modes
- Dehumidification Mode: The primary mode for removing moisture from the air. The unit will operate until the set humidity level is reached or the water tank is full.
- Dry Mode (Laundry Drying): Activates a strong airflow to assist in drying clothes quickly and efficiently, while also removing any damp odors.
- Negative Ion Function: Releases negative ions to purify the air, helping to remove harmful substances and improve air quality.

3.3 Timer Function
Use the 24-hour timer to set specific times for the dehumidifier to turn on or off. This feature is useful for scheduling operation during off-peak hours or ensuring a comfortable environment upon returning home.
3.4 Humidity Control
The unit allows you to set a target humidity level. The dehumidifier will automatically operate to reach and maintain this level, ensuring optimal comfort and energy efficiency.
3.5 Water Drainage
The Humsure HM2006 offers two drainage options:
- Water Tank Collection: Moisture is collected in the internal 2.8-liter water tank. The unit will automatically stop operation when the tank is full to prevent overflow.
- Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without manual emptying, connect the included drain hose to the continuous drainage port and direct it to a suitable drain.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Emptying the Water Tank
When the water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the water tank from the unit, empty the collected water, and reinsert the tank securely.
4.2 Cleaning the Air Filter
Regularly clean the air filter (every two weeks or more often depending on usage) to ensure optimal performance and air quality.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate and remove the air filter (refer to the product diagram for exact location).
- Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust. For heavy dirt, wash it gently with warm, soapy water.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
4.3 External Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface.
4.4 Storage
If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is clean and dry. Store the dehumidifier in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
