Front Panel Controls:

  • LCD Backlit Display: Shows current mode, track information, radio frequency, and time.

Setup

Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either AC electricity or batteries.

  1. AC Power: Connect the detachable AC power cable to the AC input on the unit and then to a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
  2. Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Insert 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

Note: When the AC power cable is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected.

Antenna Setup

For optimal AM/FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. Adjust its position and direction to achieve the clearest signal.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the Power/Mode button to turn the unit on or off.
  • Mode Selection: Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: CD, FM, AM, Bluetooth, USB, SD, AUX. The selected mode will appear on the LCD display.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the Volume control knob or buttons to increase or decrease the sound level.

CD Playback

  1. Press the Power/Mode button to select CD mode.
  2. Open the CD compartment cover.
  3. Place a CD (CD, CD-R/RW, or MP3 CD) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  4. Close the CD compartment cover securely.
  5. The unit will read the disc, and the track number will appear on the display. Playback will begin automatically for audio CDs. For MP3 CDs, you may need to select a track.
  6. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, and Skip Forward/Backward buttons to control playback.
  7. Press the Repeat button to repeat the current track, all tracks, or play in random/shuffle mode.
  8. Press the Program button to create a custom playback sequence.

AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the Power/Mode button to select FM or AM radio mode.
  2. Extend the telescopic antenna for best reception.
  3. Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to manually tune to a desired station. Press and hold to auto-scan for the next available station.
  4. Saving Presets: To save a station, tune to the desired frequency, then press the Program button. Use the Preset Up/Down buttons to select a preset number (1-20), then press Program again to confirm.
  5. Recalling Presets: In radio mode, use the Preset Up/Down buttons to cycle through your saved stations.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. Press the Power/Mode button to select Bluetooth mode. The LCD display will show "BT" or a similar indicator, and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
  3. Search for available devices and select "RIPTUNES" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the unit will indicate a successful connection, and you can stream audio wirelessly from your device.

USB/SD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Press the Power/Mode button to select USB or SD mode.
  3. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
  4. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, and Skip Forward/Backward buttons to control playback.

Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the boombox.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device.
  3. Press the Power/Mode button to select AUX mode.
  4. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the boombox speakers.

Headphone Jack

For private listening, connect 3.5mm stereo headphones (not included) to the headphone jack. The speakers will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • CD Care: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean CDs. Wipe gently from the center outwards.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
