Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the laser level.
- Slide the battery compartment cover open.
- Insert two AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Mounting the Device
The laser level can be used freestanding or mounted using the included L-shaped magnetic pivoting base. The base features a 1/4-inch screw thread for attachment to the laser level and magnets for securing to metallic surfaces. It is also compatible with standard tripods (not included).
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
To turn the device on, slide the lock switch on the side to the unlocked position. To turn off, slide the switch to the locked position.
2. Automatic (Self-Leveling) Mode
When the lock switch is in the unlocked position, the laser level will automatically self-level within 4 degrees. If the device is outside this range, the laser lines will blink to indicate it is not level. Adjust the device's position until the laser lines become solid, indicating a level projection.
3. Manual Mode
To use the laser at a specific angle (e.g., for stair railings), slide the lock switch to the locked position. The laser lines will remain fixed at the angle you set. The lines may blink in manual mode to indicate that the self-leveling feature is disengaged.
4. Laser Line Selection
Press the power button on top of the device to cycle through different laser line modes: horizontal line, vertical line, or cross-line (both horizontal and vertical).
Maintenance
- Keep the laser level clean and free of dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Store the device in its carrying pouch in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
