3. Setup and Initial Adjustment

Follow these steps for initial setup and to achieve a clear view:

  1. Adjust Eyecups: If you wear eyeglasses, twist down the eyecups. If you do not wear eyeglasses, twist them up to the desired position for comfortable viewing.
  2. Adjust Interpupillary Distance: Hold the binoculars with both hands and bend the body until you see a single circular field of view. This adjusts the distance between the eyepieces to match the distance between your eyes.
  3. Attach Neck Strap: Securely attach the provided neck strap to the strap attachments on the binoculars.

4. Operating Instructions

To focus your Suncore 10x42 binoculars:

  1. Step 1: Adjust Eyecups and Interpupillary Distance. Ensure the binoculars are adjusted to the correct position according to your eyes (as described in Section 3).
  2. Step 2: Focus Left Eye. Close your right eye and sight an object with your left eye. Rotate the central focus knob until the image is sharp and clear.
  3. Step 3: Focus Right Eye (Diopter Adjustment). Open your right eye and close your left eye. Rotate the right eyepiece focus ring until the object image is sharp and clear. Once set, you will only need to use the central focus knob for subsequent focusing.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your binoculars:

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics. Apply a small amount to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
  • Cleaning Body: Wipe the rubber armor with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store binoculars in a cool, dry place, preferably in the carrying bag, to protect them from dust and moisture. Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Waterproof/Fogproof: While the binoculars are waterproof and fogproof, avoid prolonged submersion in water. Ensure lens caps are on when not in use in wet conditions.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Never look directly at the sun through the binoculars, as this can cause severe eye damage.
