5. Setup

  1. Plug In: Insert the Fayleeko Power Meter Plug into a standard 110V-120V AC wall outlet. The LCD display will illuminate.
  2. Connect Appliance: Plug the appliance you wish to monitor into the power outlet on the front of the meter.
  3. Initial Check: The meter will immediately begin displaying real-time data.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Display Modes

Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to cycle through the 7 different display modes:

  • Mode 1: Time / Watt / Cost (Cumulative electricity consumption time, real-time power, and total cost)
  • Mode 2: Time / Cumulative kWh / Days (Cumulative electricity consumption in kWh and total days)
  • Mode 3: Time / Voltage / Frequency (Real-time voltage and frequency)
  • Mode 4: Time / Current / Power Factor (Real-time current and power factor)
  • Mode 5: Time / Minimum Power (Minimum recorded power in Watts)
  • Mode 6: Time / Maximum Power (Maximum recorded power in Watts)
  • Mode 7: Time / Electricity Price (Current set electricity price per kWh)

6.2. Setting Electricity Cost

  1. Press the COST button once. The display will show the current electricity price.
  2. Press the COST button again. The first digit of the price will start flashing.
  3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the flashing digit.
  4. Press COST again to move to the next digit. Repeat until all digits are set.
  5. Press FUNCTION to save the setting and exit.

6.3. Overload Protection

The meter features an overload warning and automatic power cut-off. When the connected appliance's power consumption exceeds the set limit (default 1650W), the LCD will display "OVERLOAD" with an audible alarm, and the power supply to the appliance will be disconnected.

  1. To set the overload protection value, press and hold the FUNCTION button for 3 seconds.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the overload threshold (e.g., less than 1800W).
  3. Press FUNCTION to confirm and save the setting.

6.4. Resetting Data

To clear all accumulated data (kWh, cost, max/min power, etc.) and reset settings to factory defaults, locate the small RESET pinhole on the front panel. Use a thin, non-metallic object (like a paperclip or the provided plastic tool) to press and hold the button inside the pinhole for approximately 3-5 seconds until the display clears or resets.

6.5. Backlight Control

The meter's backlight duration can be adjusted. This feature helps conserve energy and customize visibility.

  1. Press and hold the UP button for 3 seconds to enter backlight setting mode.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to cycle through backlight options (e.g., 10 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, always on).
  3. Press FUNCTION to confirm your selection.

7. Maintenance
