3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your Minelab Gold Monster 1000 metal detector:

1. Attach the Lower Shaft: Connect the lower shaft to the middle shaft using the provided clips.
2. Mount the Search Coil: Securely attach your preferred search coil (GM 05 or GM 10) to the lower shaft using the supplied bolt and washers. Ensure the coil cable is wrapped snugly around the shaft.
3. Connect the Control Box: Slide the control box onto the upper shaft. Connect the search coil cable to the port on the control box.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the control unit to turn the detector on or off. The unit will perform a self-test upon startup.

4.2 Search Modes

The Gold Monster 1000 offers various search modes optimized for different conditions. Select the appropriate mode using the menu buttons on the control unit. Common modes include:
