Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the Carson FS Reflex Stick II 2.4GHz 6-channel radio control system. This high-quality, modern remote control is designed for universal use with various RC vehicles and ships. It features 6 independently controllable channels, making it compatible with TAMIYA MF and DMD units. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure safe and correct usage.
Safety Instructions
- Always operate the radio control system in a safe environment, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
- Ensure all batteries are correctly installed and charged before use. Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Keep the transmitter and receiver dry and away from extreme temperatures.
- Do not modify the radio control system. Unauthorized modifications can lead to malfunction and void the warranty.
- Always turn on the transmitter first, then the receiver. When finished, turn off the receiver first, then the transmitter.
- Supervise children when they are operating RC models.

Product Overview
The Carson FS Reflex Stick II transmitter features a robust design with a carbon look. It includes two control sticks for primary functions and additional buttons/switches for auxiliary channels.

Transmitter Components:
- Control Sticks (Channels 1-4): Used for primary control functions such as steering, throttle, and other proportional movements.
- Auxiliary Buttons/Switches (Channels 5-6): Used for activating additional functions like lights, winches, or other on/off operations. There are two switches, one push-button and one toggle switch.
- Battery Compartment: Located at the rear, holds 4 AA batteries.
- Power Switch: To turn the transmitter on/off.
- Binding Button: For pairing the transmitter with the receiver.
- Servo Reverse Switches: Allows reversing the direction of servo movement for each channel.

Setup
1. Battery Installation (Transmitter)
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
- Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Receiver Connection
Connect the receiver to your RC model's electronic speed controller (ESC) and servos according to your model's specific instructions. Ensure all connections are firm and correctly oriented.
- Connect the ESC to the receiver's Channel 2 (throttle).
- Connect the steering servo to the receiver's Channel 1 (steering).
- Connect auxiliary servos or devices to Channels 3-6 as needed.
3. Binding the Transmitter and Receiver
The transmitter and receiver are usually pre-bound from the factory. If re-binding is necessary:
- Ensure the transmitter is turned OFF.
- Connect the bind plug (not included, usually comes with receiver or ESC) to the BIND/VCC port on the receiver.
- Power on the receiver. The receiver's LED should flash rapidly.
- Press and hold the BIND button on the transmitter while turning it ON.
- Release the BIND button after a few seconds. The receiver's LED should now be solid, indicating a successful bind.
- Turn off the receiver, then the transmitter. Remove the bind plug from the receiver.
- Restart the system (transmitter ON first, then receiver) to confirm the bind.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- To power on: Turn on the transmitter first, then power on your RC model (receiver).
- To power off: Power off your RC model (receiver) first, then turn off the transmitter.
2. Basic Control Functions
- Left Stick (Throttle/Elevator): Controls forward/backward movement (throttle) and potentially other vertical movements depending on model type.
- Right Stick (Steering/Aileron): Controls left/right steering (rudder) and potentially other horizontal movements depending on model type.
3. Auxiliary Channel Control
The two additional switches (one push-button, one toggle switch) control channels 5 and 6. These are typically used for non-proportional functions:
- Push-button Switch: Activates a function when pressed, deactivates when released (e.g., horn, momentary light).
- Toggle Switch: Toggles a function between two states (e.g., lights on/off, gear up/down).
4. Servo Reverse
If a servo moves in the opposite direction to your stick input, use the corresponding servo reverse switch on the transmitter to correct its direction. There is a servo reverse switch for each channel.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the transmitter with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the plastic.
Storage
- Remove batteries from the transmitter if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Store the radio control system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power to transmitter | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Replace batteries with new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. |
| No control response from model | Transmitter and receiver not bound; receiver not powered; incorrect connections. | Perform binding procedure; check receiver power supply; verify all connections. |
| Servo moves in wrong direction | Incorrect servo direction setting. | Adjust the corresponding servo reverse switch on the transmitter. |
| Limited range or intermittent control | Low transmitter/receiver battery; interference; damaged antenna. | Replace batteries; operate in an open area away from other 2.4GHz devices; check antennas for damage. |
