Setup
- Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials.
- Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dust or residue from manufacturing. Dry thoroughly.
- Place the panini press on a stable, heat-resistant, and flat surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Ensure the drip spout is clear and, if applicable, position a heat-resistant container or the included drip tray beneath it to collect excess grease.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. The red power indicator light will illuminate.
Operating Instructions
Preheating
- Close the panini press and plug it into the power outlet. The red power indicator light will turn on.
- Allow the appliance to preheat for approximately 1-2 minutes. The green "ready" indicator light will illuminate when the grill has reached the optimal cooking temperature.
Grilling Paninis and Sandwiches
- Once the green "ready" light is on, carefully open the panini press using the cool-touch handle.
- Place your sandwich or panini onto the bottom cooking plate. The floating hinge will adjust to accommodate the thickness of your food.
- Gently close the top plate over the food.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sandwich is golden brown and heated through. Cooking time may vary based on ingredients and desired crispness.
- Carefully remove the cooked food using a heat-resistant spatula. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the non-stick coating.
Using as an Open Grill (180° Function)
- To open the grill to 180 degrees, ensure the unit is unplugged and cool.
- Locate the hinge release mechanism. Gently push the release and carefully lay the top plate flat, creating a double cooking surface.
- Plug in the appliance and allow it to preheat until the green "ready" light illuminates.
- Place meats, vegetables, or other items on the cooking plates.
- Cook until desired doneness is achieved, flipping items as needed.
- Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool before returning it to the closed position.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your panini press.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove any accumulated grease from the drip spout and drip tray. Wash the drip tray with warm, soapy water.
- Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn food residue, dampen a paper towel with a small amount of cooking oil and wipe the plates while they are still slightly warm (but not hot). Then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils on the non-stick surfaces, as this can damage the coating.
- Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before storing.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not turn on. | Not plugged in or power outlet is faulty. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check the circuit breaker. |
| Food is not cooking evenly. | Grill not fully preheated or food is too thick. | Wait for the green "ready" light to illuminate before placing food. Ensure food is not excessively thick, allowing the floating hinge to properly contact both sides. |
| Smoke or unusual odor during first use. | Protective coating burning off. | This is normal for first use. Ensure good ventilation. If smoke persists, unplug and contact customer support. |
| Food sticks to plates. | Plates not properly cleaned or seasoned. | Ensure plates are clean before use. A light spray of cooking oil can be used if needed, though the non-stick coating should prevent sticking. |
