1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the LEHOM G1L 3-Tier Heavy Duty Garment Rack. This manual provides detailed instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient use of your new garment rack. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

• Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or broken.
• Assemble the unit on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
• Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 450 lbs (evenly distributed). Each wire shelf holds 150 lbs, each hanging rod holds 100 lbs, and each side hook holds 22 lbs.
• Keep children and pets away during assembly.
• Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components listed below are included in your package:

• 3 x Wire Shelves
• 4 x Upper Poles
• 2 x Hanging Bars

• 4 x Caster Wheels (2 lockable)
• Plastic Sleeves/Clips (for shelf adjustment)

4. Assembly Instructions

No tools are required for most of the assembly, except for tightening the caster wheels. Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Install Caster Wheels: Screw the four caster wheels into the bottom of the four lower poles. Use the provided small wrench to tighten them securely. Ensure the two lockable wheels are placed on the same side for easier access.

2. Attach Lower Poles: Insert the upper poles into the lower poles. The poles are designed to fit together.
3. Position Plastic Sleeves: Snap the two-part plastic sleeves around the poles at the desired height for your first shelf. Ensure the "TOP" arrow on each sleeve points upwards and that all sleeves for a single shelf are at the same height. There will be a small gap between the two halves of the sleeve when snapped together; this is normal.

4. Install Bottom Shelf: Slide the bottom wire shelf down over the poles until it rests firmly on the plastic sleeves. Gently tap the corners of the shelf with a rubber mallet (not included) or your hand to ensure it is fully seated and level.
5. Install Middle and Top Shelves: Repeat step 3 and 4 for the middle and top shelves, adjusting the height as needed. The slip-sleeve locking system allows for 1-inch increment adjustments.
6. Attach Hanging Rods: Insert the hanging bars into the designated slots on the underside of the shelves. Secure them with the provided screws.

7. Install Side Hooks: Attach the hook brackets to the side poles at your preferred height. These provide additional hanging space.

Note: Confirm the overall dimensions before placing the assembled rack in its final location, especially if moving through doorways. The dimensions are approximately 46.06"W x 17.7"D x 80.7"H.

5. Operation

5.1 Adjusting Shelf Height

The shelves can be adjusted in 1-inch increments to accommodate items of various sizes. To adjust a shelf:

1. Remove all items from the shelf you wish to adjust.
2. Lift the shelf off the plastic sleeves.
3. Remove the plastic sleeves from the poles.
4. Re-position the plastic sleeves at the new desired height, ensuring they are level.
5. Place the shelf back onto the sleeves, ensuring it is securely seated.

5.2 Using the Wheels

The garment rack is equipped with four omnidirectional caster wheels for easy mobility. Two of these wheels are lockable to provide stability when the rack is in a fixed position.

• To move the rack, ensure both lockable wheels are in the unlocked position.
• To secure the rack in place, push down the levers on the two lockable wheels until they click into position.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the carbon steel frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the black coating.
• Rust Prevention: The rack features a black coating for rust resistance. To maintain this, avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture.
• Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all connections, especially the plastic sleeves and hanging rod attachments, to ensure they are secure. Tighten caster wheels if they become loose.

7. Troubleshooting

• Rack is unstable/wobbly:
  • Ensure all shelves are properly seated on their plastic sleeves.
  • Verify that all plastic sleeves are at the same height on each pole for a given shelf.
  • Check that caster wheels are fully tightened.
  • If the rack is in a fixed position, ensure the lockable wheels are engaged.
• Shelf not sitting level:
  • Re-check the placement of the plastic sleeves. They must be at identical heights on all four poles for the shelf to be level.
  • Ensure the shelf is fully pushed down onto the sleeves.
• Difficulty moving the rack:
  • Ensure the lockable wheels are in the unlocked position.
  • Check for any obstructions around the wheels.
