4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

  1. Loosen the auxiliary handle by rotating it counter-clockwise.
  2. Slide the handle onto the front of the tool body.
  3. Adjust the handle to a comfortable working position.
  4. Tighten the handle by rotating it clockwise until secure.

4.2 Inserting SDS Plus Bits/Chisels

  1. Clean the shank of the drill bit or chisel.
  2. Insert the SDS Plus bit into the chuck until it clicks into place. Pull on the bit to ensure it is securely locked.
  3. To remove, pull back the chuck sleeve and pull the bit out.

4.3 Setting the Depth Gauge

  1. Insert the depth gauge into the hole on the auxiliary handle.
  2. Adjust the gauge to the desired drilling depth.
  3. Tighten the auxiliary handle to secure the depth gauge.

5.1 Selecting Operating Mode

The RGH9028 offers three operating modes:

  • Drilling Mode (Rotation Only): For drilling in wood, metal, and plastics.
  • Hammer Drilling Mode (Rotation with Hammering): For drilling in concrete, brick, and stone.
  • Chiseling Mode (Hammering Only): For light chiseling, chipping, and demolition work.

To change the mode, rotate the mode selector switch to the desired icon. Ensure the tool is unplugged when changing modes to prevent accidental activation.

5.2 General Operation

  1. Secure the workpiece to prevent movement.
  2. Hold the tool firmly with both hands, using the main handle and the auxiliary handle.
  3. Position the bit on the desired drilling or chiseling point.
  4. Press the trigger switch to start the tool. Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the tool.
  5. Release the trigger switch to stop the tool.
