Important Note: A LinkTap Gateway (not included with the G2S Timer only model) is required for the operation of the G2S Smart Hose Timer. One Gateway can manage up to 15 LinkTap watering devices. LinkTap products use proprietary Zigbee protocols and are not compatible with third-party Zigbee hubs.
2. Product Overview

3. Setup
Setting up your LinkTap G2S Smart Hose Timer is a straightforward process. No electrician or plumber is required.
3.1 Install Batteries
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the G2S timer.
- Use the included screwdriver to loosen the screws securing the cover.
- Remove the cover to access the battery compartment.
- Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screws securely to maintain the weather-proof seal.

3.2 Attach Water Flow Meter
- Screw the water flow meter onto the bottom outlet of the G2S timer. Hand-tighten until secure.
- Connect the small cable from the water flow meter into the port on the side of the G2S timer. Ensure it clicks into place.

3.3 Connect to Hose Bib
- Ensure the water supply to your hose bib is turned off.
- Screw the top inlet of the G2S timer onto your outdoor hose bib. Hand-tighten firmly to prevent leaks.
- Connect your garden hose to the bottom outlet of the water flow meter.
- Slowly turn on the water supply to the hose bib. Check for any leaks.

3.4 Pair with LinkTap Gateway and App
- Ensure your LinkTap Gateway is powered on and connected to your internet router.
- Download the LinkTap mobile app from your device's app store (Android or iOS).
- Open the LinkTap app and create an account or log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. You will be prompted to scan the QR code located on your G2S timer.
- The G2S timer and Gateway will automatically pair within seconds.

4. Operating Your LinkTap G2S
The LinkTap app provides comprehensive control over your watering schedules and device settings.
4.1 App Interface Overview
The app displays connected devices, current watering status, and options for creating or editing watering plans. You can monitor flow rate and total water usage in real-time.

4.2 Instant Watering
To initiate immediate watering:
- In the app, select the desired G2S timer.
- Tap "Instant Watering" and choose to water "By Duration" or "By Volume".
- Set the desired duration or volume and tap "Activate".
- The timer will begin watering after a short delay (e.g., 15 seconds).
- To stop instant watering, tap "OFF" in the app.

4.3 Creating Watering Plans
The app offers various modes for creating automated watering schedules:
- Interval Mode: Water every X days.
- 7-Day Mode: Set specific watering days of the week.
- Odd-Even Mode: Water on odd or even calendar days.
- Month Mode: Set specific watering days within a month.
- Calendar Mode: Define a custom watering calendar.
- Master Valve Mode: For advanced setups with a master valve.
To create a plan:
- Tap "Create / Edit Watering Plans" in the app.
- Select your desired work mode (e.g., Interval Mode).
- Configure start times, durations, and other parameters as needed.
- Save your watering plan.

4.4 Manual On/Off Button
The G2S timer features a physical "Manual On/Off" button. Pressing this button will toggle the water flow. This is useful for quick manual watering without using the app. The app also includes a digital lockout feature for this button to prevent accidental activation.

5. Maintenance
