4. Setup & Installation

4.1 General Installation Notes

• Ensure your motherboard is compatible with the cooler's mounting system (Intel LGA1700/1200/115x or AMD AM4/AM5).
• Always remove the protective plastic cover from the cooler's base before installation.
• The cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste. No additional paste is required for initial installation.

4.2 Intel Socket Installation (LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155)

2. Insert the plastic spacers through the motherboard holes and into the backplate. Ensure the correct position (1 or 2) on the spacers for your specific socket type.
3. Place the metal mounting brackets onto the plastic spacers, ensuring the arrows on the brackets point towards the CPU. Secure them with the thumb screws.
4. Carefully place the CPU cooler onto the CPU, aligning the cooler's mounting holes with the threaded posts of the mounting brackets.
5. Tighten the screws in a diagonal pattern until snug. Do not overtighten.
6. Attach the Pure Wings 2 92mm PWM fan to the heatsink using the provided fan clips. Ensure the fan's airflow direction is correct.
7. Connect the 4-pin PWM fan cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.

3. Place the metal mounting brackets onto the plastic spacers, ensuring the arrows on the brackets point towards the CPU. Secure them with the thumb screws.
