4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Nadex V1800 Money Counter:

1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the money counter and all accessories from its packaging.
2. Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat, and dry surface, ensuring adequate space around it for operation and ventilation.
3. Connect External Display (Optional): If using the external display, connect its cable to the designated port on the back of the main unit.
4. Power Connection: Insert the power cord into the power inlet on the back of the unit, then plug the other end into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
5. Power On: Flip the power switch located on the back of the unit to the 'ON' position. The unit will perform a self-test.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Counting

1. Ensure the unit is powered on and has completed its self-test.
2. Place a stack of bills neatly into the hopper. Ensure the bills are aligned and not folded or crumpled.
3. The machine will automatically start counting. The count will be displayed on the main TFT screen and the external display.
4. Once counting is complete, remove the counted stack from the stacker. The display will reset for the next count.

5.2 Counterfeit Detection

The Nadex V1800 employs Ultraviolet (UV), Magnetic (MG), and Infrared (IR) sensors to detect counterfeit bills during the counting process.

• UV Detection: Checks for security threads and watermarks visible under ultraviolet light.
• MG Detection: Scans for magnetic ink patterns present in genuine currency.
• IR Detection: Verifies infrared security features, such as specific ink patterns that appear or disappear under infrared light.

If a suspicious bill is detected, the machine will stop counting, emit an audible beep, and the main TFT display will turn red, indicating an error. Remove the suspicious bill and press the 'START' button to resume counting.

5.3 Batch Function

To count bills into specific batch sizes:

1. Press the 'BATCH' button on the control panel.
2. Use the numerical keypad to enter the desired batch size (e.g., 100, 50, 25).
3. Place bills into the hopper. The machine will count until the set batch size is reached, then stop.
4. Remove the batch, and the machine will automatically resume counting for the next batch.

5.4 Add Function

To accumulate the total count of multiple stacks of bills:

1. Press the 'ADD' button on the control panel.
2. Place the first stack of bills into the hopper. The machine will count them.
3. Remove the counted stack. The count will remain on the display.
4. Place subsequent stacks into the hopper. The machine will add their counts to the running total.
5. Press 'ADD' again to exit the add function.

5.5 Self-Examination Function

6. Maintenance
