5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the frame and wheels with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Lubrication: Periodically apply a light lubricant to moving parts, such as wheel axles and folding mechanisms, to ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspection: Regularly check for loose bolts, damaged wheels, or signs of wear. Tighten any loose fasteners and replace worn parts as needed.
  • Storage: Store the hand truck in a dry, clean place when not in use to prevent rust and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty Folding/Unfolding: Ensure all release levers are fully engaged or disengaged. Check for any obstructions or debris in the folding mechanism. Lubricate moving parts if stiff.
  • Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Inspect wheels for debris (e.g., string, hair) wrapped around the axles. Clean and lubricate the axles if necessary. Check for damaged wheels that may need replacement.
  • Unstable Operation: Ensure all parts are fully extended and locked into place before use. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity for the chosen configuration. Distribute loads evenly.
