1. Product Overview

The KANBIT Digital Travel Alarm Clock KB-2101 is a compact, battery-operated device designed for portability and ease of use. It features a large LCD screen displaying time, date, day of the week, and temperature. The clock includes an alarm with snooze function and a timer.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The clock requires two CR2025 button batteries. An extra battery is included in the package.

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the clock.
2. Insert two CR2025 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
4. Remove the plastic insulating strip from the battery compartment if present to activate the clock.

2.2 Initial Settings (Time, Date, Temperature Unit, 12/24H Format)

The clock has five buttons on the back: MODE, SET, UP, DOWN, and TIMER.

1. Set Time and Date:
   • Press the MODE button until 'TIME' is displayed or the time digits are blinking.
   • Press the SET button. The hour digits will start blinking.
   • Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
   • Press SET again to move to minutes, then year, month, and date. Adjust each using UP or DOWN.
   • Press SET one last time to confirm all settings.
2. Change Temperature Unit (Celsius/Fahrenheit):
   • In normal time display mode, press the DOWN button to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
3. Switch 12/24 Hour Format:
   • In normal time display mode, press the UP button to switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Alarm Setting

1. Press the MODE button until the alarm icon (bell) appears on the display, indicating alarm mode.
2. Press the SET button. The hour digits for the alarm will start blinking.
3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
4. Press SET again to move to minutes. Adjust using UP or DOWN.
5. Press SET one last time to confirm the alarm time.
6. To activate/deactivate the alarm and snooze, press the DOWN button in alarm mode. The alarm icon will appear when active.
7. To select alarm music, press the UP button in alarm mode (when alarm is active). There are 8 different melodies.

3.2 Timer Setting

1. Press the TIMER button. The display will show '0:00' or the last set timer value.
2. Press the SET button. The hour digits will start blinking.
3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the timer hour.
4. Press SET again to move to minutes. Adjust using UP or DOWN.
5. Press SET one last time to confirm the timer duration.
6. Press the TIMER button again to start the countdown.
7. To pause/resume the timer, press the TIMER button.
8. To reset the timer, press the SET button while the timer is paused or stopped.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

• Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.

4.2 Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the clock functions irregularly, it is time to replace the batteries.

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the clock.
2. Remove the old CR2025 batteries.
3. Insert new CR2025 batteries, observing correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment.

5. Troubleshooting

• Display is blank: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and the plastic insulating strip has been removed. Replace batteries if they are depleted.
• Incorrect time/date: Follow the 'Set Time and Date' instructions in Section 2.2 carefully, ensuring the correct year is set.
• Incorrect temperature reading: Ensure the desired temperature unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit) is selected by pressing the DOWN button. The clock measures ambient temperature and may vary slightly from other devices.
• No backlight: This model (KB-2101) does not feature a backlight. The display is designed for clear visibility in well-lit conditions.
• Alarm not sounding: Ensure the alarm is activated (bell icon visible) and the volume is not set to zero (if applicable, though this model has fixed volume). Check that the alarm time is correctly set.
