The GIMA Bluetooth Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a digital sphygmomanometer designed for accurate measurement of blood pressure and heart rate. It features innovative tubeless technology, a slim design, and a backlit LCD screen for clear readings. This device can detect irregular heartbeats and excessive body movement during measurement.

3. Safety Information

Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device. Keep it for future reference. This device is a medical product and should be used in accordance with these instructions. Consult your physician for interpretation of blood pressure measurements. Do not self-diagnose or self-treat based on measurements from this device.

4. Setup and Initial Use

4.1 Charging the Device

The monitor comes with a built-in rechargeable 3.7V - 1000 mHA lithium polymer battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided AC adapter. The battery life is approximately 2 years, with a charging capacity of up to 300 times.

4.2 Cuff Placement

  1. Ensure your arm is bare or has thin clothing.
  2. Place the cuff on your upper arm, approximately 1-2 cm above the elbow joint.
  3. The air tube (if applicable, though this model is tubeless, ensure the sensor area is correctly positioned) should be aligned with the brachial artery on the inside of your arm.
  4. Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm, but not too tightly.

4.3 GIMApp Installation and Bluetooth Pairing

The GIMA monitor is designed to connect with the GIMApp for smartphone integration, allowing you to track and manage your health data. The app is compatible with iOS 8 or later (e.g., iPhone 4S, iPhone 5/5C/5S, iPhone 6/6 Plus and newer) and Android 4.3 or later.

  1. Download GIMApp: Search for "GIMApp" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install it on your smartphone.
  2. Registration: Open the GIMApp and complete the personal profile registration.
  3. Pairing: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Turn on the GIMA Blood Pressure Monitor. In the GIMApp, navigate to the device pairing section. The app should detect the monitor. Select the device to pair.
  4. New Measurement: Once paired, you can initiate new measurements directly from the app and view your readings.
  5. Health Report: The app allows you to generate health reports based on your recorded measurements.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Taking a Measurement

  1. Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Place your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.
  3. Press the Power button to turn on the device.
  4. Select the desired user (User 1 or User 2) using the dedicated buttons.
  5. The cuff will automatically inflate and then slowly deflate, taking the measurement.
  6. Your systolic (SYS), diastolic (DIA) blood pressure, and pulse (Pul) will be displayed on the LCD screen.
