1. Introduction

The Tomzon D30 GPS Drone is a versatile and user-friendly quadcopter designed for both beginners and experienced pilots. It features a high-definition 4K camera with 5G WiFi for clear FPV transmission, advanced flight modes like Auto-Return and Follow Me, and a compact foldable design for easy transport. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your D30 drone.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the drone battery and remote control. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the battery and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will change once fully charged.

3.2 Installing the Battery

Insert the fully charged battery into the drone's battery compartment until it clicks securely into place.

3.3 Propeller Installation

Ensure propellers are correctly installed according to the markings (A/B) on the propellers and motor arms. Incorrect installation can affect flight stability.

3.4 App Installation and Connection

Download the official Tomzon-U app from your device's app store. Power on the drone and your smartphone's Wi-Fi. Connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'Tomzon-D30-XXXX'). Open the app to establish connection and view the FPV feed.

4. Operating the Drone

4.1 Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the remote control layout. Typically, the left joystick controls altitude and yaw (rotation), while the right joystick controls forward/backward and left/right movement. Refer to the remote control diagram in the quick start guide for detailed button functions.

4.2 4K Camera & 5G WiFi

The integrated 4K HD camera allows for high-resolution image and video capture directly from the app. The camera's angle is 94° adjustable, providing flexibility for various shooting perspectives. The 5GHz WiFi ensures smooth and stable data transmission for FPV viewing up to nearly 1000ft.

4.3 Smart Control & Easy Operation

The D30 drone incorporates smart features for enhanced safety and ease of use:

• Auto-Return: If the drone goes out of range or its battery is low, it will automatically return to its starting point.
• Low Battery Alarm: Provides an audible or visual alert when the battery level is critical, prompting the drone to return.
• One Key Return: Initiates an automatic return to home with a single button press on the remote or within the app.

4.4 Advanced Flight Functions

Unlock more dynamic flight experiences with these functions:

• Follow Me: The drone will automatically follow the remote controller or connected smartphone, capturing footage as you move.
• Custom Flight Path: Draw a desired flight path on the app screen, and the drone will fly along the specified route.
• 360° Circle Surrounding: The drone will orbit a designated point, capturing a circular video or photo.
• 3 Fly Speeds: Switch between different speed modes to suit your flying skill level and environmental conditions.

4.5 Stable & Foldable Design

The D30 drone features a stable flight system and a convenient foldable design:

• Optical Flow Positioning: Combined with the GPS module, this ensures excellent altitude hold and stable hovering, both indoors and outdoors.
• Foldable Body: The arms fold inward, making the drone highly portable and easy to store in a travel bag.

4.6 TF Card Support & Long Fly Time

The D30 drone supports up to a 64GB TF card (MicroSD, not included) for saving high-quality images and videos directly to the drone. The rechargeable battery provides approximately 17-19 minutes of flight time, allowing for extended flying sessions.

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the drone with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Propellers: Inspect propellers for damage (cracks, bends) before each flight. Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spare parts and screwdriver.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. If storing for extended periods, charge to about 50-60%.
• Storage: When not in use, store the drone in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage.
