2. Product Features

  • 5MP Ultra High Resolution: Captures video at 2560x1920 pixels, offering twice the clarity of Full HD (1920x1080P) cameras. The F=3.6MM lens provides a wide field of view with sharp image quality.
  • Two-Way Audio Communication: Equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling real-time two-way conversations via the dedicated smartphone application (Android/iPhone). This feature allows communication with family, visitors, or to deter intruders.
  • IP67 Waterproof & Night Vision: Designed with IP67 international standard waterproofing, ensuring reliable operation both indoors and outdoors. The IR-CUT night vision function automatically switches between day and night modes, providing clear visibility up to 30 meters in complete darkness.
  • POE Power Supply: Utilizes Power over Ethernet (POE) technology, allowing both power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation.
  • Motion Detection Recording: Features motion sensor technology for automatic recording upon detecting movement, enhancing security monitoring.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Camera: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. LAN Cable Connection: Connect the camera to a POE-enabled network switch or NVR using an Ethernet (LAN) cable. Note: A LAN cable is not included with single camera units.
  3. Power On: Ensure the POE switch/NVR is powered on. The camera will receive power through the Ethernet cable.
  4. HDD Formatting (if applicable): If connecting to an NVR with a hard disk drive (HDD), it is crucial to format the HDD before connecting the camera. Formatting the HDD after the camera is connected may not be possible.
  5. App Installation: Download and install the dedicated mobile application (e.g., "eseecloud" or similar, as specified by the manufacturer) on your Android or iPhone device for remote monitoring and control.
  6. System Compatibility: Please note that due to system updates, this camera is not compatible with 5-megapixel camera sets purchased before December 2020.

4. Operating Instructions

  • Remote Monitoring: Access live camera feeds and recorded footage from your smartphone or PC using the installed application.
  • Two-Way Audio: Use the microphone and speaker functions within the app to communicate with individuals near the camera.
  • Night Vision Mode: The camera automatically switches to IR-CUT night vision mode in low-light conditions.
  • Motion Detection: Configure motion detection zones and sensitivity settings through the app to receive alerts and initiate recording when movement is detected.
  • Recording Playback: Review recorded video clips stored on your NVR or cloud storage via the mobile application.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cable connections for wear, damage, or loose fittings, especially for outdoor installations.
  • Software Updates: Keep the camera firmware and mobile application updated to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features and security patches.
  • Environmental Considerations: While IP67 rated, avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the camera. Ensure proper drainage around the installation area.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Image/Connection:
    • Ensure the POE switch/NVR is powered on and functioning correctly.
    • Check the Ethernet cable connection at both ends.
    • Verify that the camera is compatible with your existing system (especially if purchased before December 2020).
  • Poor Image Quality on Remote Monitoring:
    • Image quality may be reduced during remote viewing via smartphone/PC for bandwidth efficiency. This is normal.
    • Ensure a stable internet connection for both the camera system and your viewing device.
  • Microphone Picks Up Excessive Ambient Noise:
    • The built-in microphone is highly sensitive. Consider adjusting the microphone sensitivity settings in the app if available, or repositioning the camera to minimize unwanted background noise.
  • Speaker Sound is Muffled or Low:
    • The speaker output may be low or muffled. When using two-way audio, speak slowly and clearly, pausing between phrases, to ensure your message is understood.
  • Night Vision Issues:
    • In areas with streetlights or other ambient light, switching the night vision mode to color (if supported by the app, e.g., eseecloud) may provide a clearer image than infrared black and white.
    • Note that even in color night vision mode, the infrared illuminators may still emit light, potentially revealing the camera's location.
  • Recording Not Working:
    • Ensure the HDD in your NVR is properly formatted (refer to Setup section).
    • Check recording schedules and motion detection settings in the app.
