Setup and Installation

Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts listed in the packing contents are present before proceeding with installation.

Charging Station Placement

Select a flat area with sufficient space around it for the charging station. Ensure it is close to a power outlet and protected from direct sunlight or heavy rain. The charging station should be placed on level ground to allow the mower to dock correctly.

Boundary Wire Installation

The boundary wire defines the mowing area. Lay the wire around the perimeter of your lawn, securing it with the provided stakes. Ensure the wire is taut and follows the recommended distances from obstacles and edges. Connect the ends of the boundary wire to the charging station as per the diagram in the full manual.

Initial Charging

Once the charging station and boundary wire are installed, place the robotic mower in the charging station. Connect the power supply. Allow the mower to fully charge before its first operation. The indicator light on the charging station will confirm charging status.

GARDENA Bluetooth App

The GARDENA Bluetooth app provides advanced control and monitoring capabilities. Download the app from your device's app store, pair it with your SILENO Minimo 300, and follow the in-app instructions to set up schedules, adjust settings, and receive status updates.

Scheduling Mowing Times

Utilize the GARDENA Bluetooth app to create a customized mowing schedule. You can define specific days and times for the mower to operate, ensuring your lawn is maintained according to your preferences. The mower will automatically return to its charging station when its battery is low or when its scheduled mowing time is complete.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Gardena SILENO Minimo 300.

Cleaning the Mower

Periodically clean the mower's chassis, wheels, and cutting deck. Use a brush or damp cloth to remove grass clippings, dirt, and debris. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on the mower. Ensure the charging contacts are clean.

Blade Replacement

The cutting blades are consumable parts and should be replaced regularly, typically every 1-3 months depending on lawn size and grass type. Always use original Gardena replacement blades. When replacing blades, ensure the mower is switched off and wear protective gloves. Replace all blades simultaneously for balanced cutting.

Battery Care and Storage

For optimal battery life, store the mower in a dry, frost-free environment during the off-season. Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage and recharge it periodically if stored for extended periods. Disconnect the power supply to the charging station during storage.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Gardena SILENO Minimo 300.

  • Mower not starting: Check if the battery is charged, the PIN code is correctly entered, and the safety switch is engaged. Ensure the boundary wire is intact and the charging station has power.
  • Mower stuck or not moving: Inspect the wheels and cutting deck for obstructions (e.g., branches, large debris). Check if the mowing area is clear of obstacles and if the boundary wire is correctly installed, preventing the mower from getting stuck.
  • Poor cutting results: Replace worn or damaged blades. Ensure the cutting height is appropriately set. Clean the cutting deck to prevent grass buildup.
  • Error messages: Refer to the GARDENA Bluetooth app or the mower's display for specific error codes and recommended actions. Common errors relate to boundary wire issues, lift sensors, or tilt sensors.
