5.2 Wiring Connections

Wiring Key:

  • Power Supply (AC 100-240V): Connect to terminals 1 and 2.
  • SSR Output: Connect to terminals 3 and 4.
  • Relay Output: Connect to terminals 5, 6, and 7 (Common, Normally Open, Normally Closed).
  • Alarm Output (ALM1): Connect to terminals 8 and 9.

6. Operating Instructions

This section outlines the basic operation and configuration of the Annadue XY504 PID Temperature Controller.

6.1 Power On and Display

Upon powering on, the controller will display the Process Value (PV) in the upper red display and the Set Value (SV) in the lower green display. Status indicators (AT, OUT1, OUT2, ALM1, ALM2) will illuminate according to the current operating state.

6.2 Setting the Temperature (SV)

  1. Press the SET button once. The SV display will begin to flash.
  2. Use the Up () and Down () arrow buttons to adjust the desired set temperature.
  3. Press the SET button again to confirm the new SV and exit the setting mode.

6.3 PID Self-Tuning (AT Function)

The self-tuning function automatically calculates optimal PID parameters for your specific application, improving temperature stability and control accuracy.

  1. Ensure the controller is connected to the heating/cooling element and sensor.
  2. Set the desired temperature (SV).
  3. Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the "AT" indicator starts flashing. This indicates that self-tuning has begun.
  4. The controller will cycle the output to analyze the system's thermal characteristics. This process may take some time, depending on the system's inertia.
  5. Once self-tuning is complete, the "AT" indicator will stop flashing, and the controller will operate with the newly calculated PID parameters.

Note: During self-tuning, the temperature may overshoot or undershoot the set value. This is normal behavior as the controller learns the system's response.

6.4 Advanced Parameter Settings

For advanced configurations such as input type selection, alarm settings, or manual PID parameter adjustment, refer to the detailed parameter menu. Accessing this menu typically involves pressing and holding the SET button for an extended period (e.g., 5-10 seconds) or a specific key combination. 7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and accurate operation of your XY504 PID Temperature Controller.
