4. Maintenance

4.1 Replacing Ink Cartridges

When an ink cartridge runs low or is empty, the printer will indicate this. Open the ink cartridge access door, remove the old cartridge, and insert a new HP 67 ink cartridge. Close the access door. The printer will automatically align the new cartridges.

4.2 Cleaning the Printer

Regularly wipe the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. For the scanner glass, use a glass cleaner applied to a cloth (not directly to the glass) to avoid streaks and ensure clear scans.

4.3 Firmware Updates

The HP ENVY 6055e, especially with HP+ activated, receives automatic firmware updates to maintain optimal performance, security, and feature enhancements. Ensure your printer is connected to the internet to receive these updates.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HP ENVY 6055e, consider the following common solutions:

  • Connectivity Issues: Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Restart your router and printer. Use the HP Smart app to diagnose and resolve network problems.
  • Print Quality Problems: Check ink levels and replace any low or empty cartridges. Run a print head cleaning or alignment from the HP Smart app or printer settings. Ensure you are using appropriate paper for your print job.
  • Paper Jams: Carefully remove any jammed paper from the input tray, output tray, and inside the printer. Refer to the printer's internal diagrams for safe removal.
  • Printer Not Responding: Power cycle the printer (turn it off, unplug, wait 30 seconds, plug back in, and turn on). Check all cable connections.
