Setup
- Connect the Mouse: Plug the USB connector of the ROG Paracord cable into an available USB port on your computer.
- Driver Installation: Your operating system (Windows 10 or later) should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
- Install Armoury Crate Software (Optional but Recommended): For full customization of DPI settings, button assignments, and Aura Sync RGB lighting, download and install the ASUS Armoury Crate software from the official ASUS support website.
- Initial DPI Setting: The mouse comes with default DPI settings. You can adjust these using the DPI On-The-Scroll feature or through Armoury Crate.
Operating Instructions
DPI Adjustment
The ROG Keris allows for on-the-fly DPI adjustments without needing to open software.
- Cycle DPI Levels: Press the DPI button (located on the underside of the mouse) to cycle through four preset DPI levels.
- Fine-Tune DPI (DPI On-The-Scroll): Press and hold the DPI button, then scroll the mouse wheel up or down to increase or decrease the DPI sensitivity. Release the DPI button when the desired sensitivity is reached.
Button Functions
The mouse features 7 programmable buttons. Default functions are as follows:

All buttons can be remapped using the Armoury Crate software.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Disconnect the mouse from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Use compressed air to clear dust from crevices and around buttons.
Replacing Switches (Hot-Swappable Feature)
The ROG Keris features exclusive push-fit switch sockets, allowing you to easily replace the main left and right mouse button switches.
- Disconnect the mouse from your computer.
- Carefully remove the two screws located under the rubber plugs on the underside of the mouse.
- Gently lift the top cover of the mouse.
- Using the included switch puller tool, carefully remove the existing switches from their sockets.
- Insert new compatible 3-pin mechanical switches into the sockets, ensuring they are properly aligned.
- Replace the top cover and secure it with the screws. Re-attach the rubber plugs.
This feature allows for customization of click feel and extends the mouse's lifespan by enabling easy replacement of worn switches.
Troubleshooting
- Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer.
- Try plugging the mouse into a different USB port.
- Restart your computer.
- DPI Adjustment Not Working:
- Ensure the Armoury Crate software is installed and updated to the latest version.
- Check if the DPI button is functioning correctly.
- Inconsistent Tracking:
- Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a clean, suitable surface (mouse pad recommended).
- Check for any debris obstructing the mouse feet.
- Buttons Not Registering Clicks:
- If you have recently replaced switches, ensure they are seated correctly in their sockets.
- If the issue persists, consider replacing the affected switch.
