Setup
Battery Installation
Your Armitron Sport watch comes with one product-specific battery pre-installed. No initial battery installation is required for first use. If the display dims or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified technician to maintain water resistance.
Initial Time Setting
Upon first use or after a battery change, you will need to set the current time and date. Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section for detailed steps on how to navigate through the watch's modes and adjust settings using the designated buttons.

Operating Instructions
Your watch features multiple modes and functions accessible via the side buttons. The typical button layout includes MODE, RESET, ST/STP (Start/Stop), and EL (Electroluminescent backlight).
Time Mode
This is the default display mode, showing the current time (hours, minutes, seconds), day of the week, and date. Press the EL button to activate the backlight for visibility in low-light conditions.
Setting Time and Date
- From Time Mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the setting mode is activated (usually indicated by flashing digits).
- Use the RESET button to cycle through the settings (seconds, minutes, hours, month, date, day).
- Use the ST/STP button to adjust the flashing digit or setting.
- Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit setting mode.
Chronograph (Stopwatch) Mode
The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time.
- Press the MODE button to navigate to Chronograph Mode. The display will show '00:00:00'.
- Press ST/STP to start the timer.
- Press ST/STP again to pause/resume the timer.
- Press RESET to reset the timer to zero.
Lap Time Function
While the chronograph is running, you can record lap times.
- In Chronograph Mode, press ST/STP to start.
- Press RESET to display the lap time while the main timer continues to run in the background.
- Press RESET again to return to the running chronograph display.
Alarm Mode
Set a daily alarm to alert you at a specific time.
- Press the MODE button to navigate to Alarm Mode.
- Use RESET and ST/STP buttons to set the desired alarm time.
- Press MODE to confirm and exit.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, typically a combination of RESET and ST/STP or a dedicated button press in Alarm Mode is used. Consult the on-screen indicators for alarm status.
Dual Time Mode
This feature allows you to track a second time zone.
- Press the MODE button to navigate to Dual Time Mode.
- Follow similar setting procedures as the main time to adjust the second time zone.
Military Time (24-Hour Format)
Your watch supports both 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour (military) time formats. This setting is usually toggled within the Time Setting mode by pressing a specific button (often ST/STP) when the hour digits are flashing.
Maintenance
Water Resistance
Your Armitron Sport watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100m). This rating means it is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is submerged in water, as this can compromise the water seal.

Cleaning and Care
- Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the resin case and strap.
- Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorinated water, then dry thoroughly.
- Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Display is blank or dim: This usually indicates a low battery. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable). If the issue persists, a soft reset (removing and reinserting the battery) may be necessary, but this should be done by a professional.
- Time is incorrect: Re-enter the time setting mode and adjust the time and date. Ensure the AM/PM or 24-hour format is correctly set.
- Water inside the watch: If condensation or water appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and take it to a qualified watch repair service. This indicates a compromised water seal.
