1. Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Charging

1. Connect the two-port charger adapter to a power outlet.
2. Insert both 16.8V 2Ah lithium batteries into the charger.
3. Allow the batteries to fully charge before first use. Charging typically takes 1-2 hours per battery. The indicator lights on the battery or charger will show charging status.

4.2 Battery Installation

1. Ensure the pruning shears' power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Align a fully charged battery with the battery slot at the bottom of the shears.
3. Slide the battery into the slot until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove the battery, press the battery removal button and slide the battery out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Activating the Shears

1. With a charged battery installed, turn the power switch ON.
2. To activate the blades, press the trigger twice quickly. The blades will open to their maximum capacity.

5.2 Trimming Branches

1. Position the branch to be cut between the open blades. Ensure the branch diameter does not exceed 25mm (1 inch).
2. Press the trigger to close the blades and make a cut. Release the trigger to open the blades for the next cut.
3. For optimal performance and blade longevity, avoid forcing the shears through branches that are too thick or hard.

5.3 Deactivating and Storing

1. After use, turn the power switch OFF.
2. To close the blades for storage, hold the trigger down until the blades fully retract and a beep is heard (if applicable).
3. Remove the battery from the shears.
4. Clean the blades and store the shears and batteries in the provided tool case in a dry, safe place.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Blade Care

• After each use, clean the blades with a damp cloth to remove sap and debris.
• Apply a few drops of lubricating oil (provided) to the blades regularly to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
• If blades become dull, use the sharpening stone (provided) to restore their sharpness. Refer to the user manual for detailed sharpening instructions.

6.2 Battery Care

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Do not store batteries in a fully discharged state for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
• Avoid dropping or physically damaging the batteries.

Shears Not Activating:

• Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly installed.
• Check if the power switch is in the ON position.
• Confirm that the trigger is pressed twice quickly to activate the blades.

Reduced Cutting Performance:

• Clean the blades to remove any accumulated sap or debris.
• Lubricate the blades.
• Sharpen the blades if they appear dull.
• Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.

Battery Not Charging:

• Verify the charger is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
• Ensure the battery is correctly inserted into the charger.
• Check for any visible damage to the charger or battery.
