Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your range hood.

7.1 Grease Filter Cleaning

The multi-layer mesh grease filters should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage). They are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

  • To remove: Locate the latch on each filter, push it inwards, and pull the filter downwards.
  • Clean: Wash in a dishwasher or by hand with warm, soapy water.
  • To reinstall: Align the filter with the slots and push the latch back into place until it clicks.

7.2 Charcoal Filter Replacement (Ductless Mode)

If using the range hood in ductless mode, the charcoal filters should be replaced every 3-6 months, depending on cooking frequency. These filters are not washable and must be replaced.

7.3 Exterior Cleaning

Clean the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Fan not operating: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the circuit breaker is tripped. Ensure the fan speed button is pressed.
  • Lights not working: Verify the light button is pressed. Check if the LED bulbs need replacement (refer to the full user manual for bulb replacement instructions).
  • Poor suction: Ensure grease filters are clean and not clogged. For ductless mode, check if charcoal filters need replacement. Verify that the ductwork (if ducted) is not obstructed or kinked.
  • Excessive noise: Check for loose parts or obstructions in the fan. Ensure the range hood is securely mounted.
