1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this dehumidifier. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

  • Always connect the dehumidifier to a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Do not operate the unit with a damaged power cord or plug.
  • Do not block the air inlet or outlet. Ensure proper airflow around the unit.
  • Do not use the dehumidifier near water or in excessively wet environments.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • Keep children and pets away from the dehumidifier during operation.

2. Product Overview

The HUMSURE HM2002 is a portable 30-pint dehumidifier designed to reduce humidity in residential spaces up to 1500 sq. ft. It features multiple operating modes, a 24-hour timer, and two drainage options for convenience.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging.
  2. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective films.
  3. Inspect the unit for any damage during transit. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

3.2 Placement

For optimal performance, place the dehumidifier in a location where air can circulate freely around it. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space from walls or furniture.

  • Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
  • Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not place it in areas where it might be exposed to splashing water.

3.3 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the unit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel

4.2 Power On/Off

Press the Power button to turn the dehumidifier on or off.

4.3 Setting Humidity Level

Press the Humidity button to adjust the desired humidity level. The display will show the current and target humidity. The unit will operate until the target humidity is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.

4.4 Operating Modes

Press the Mode button to cycle through the available operating modes:

  • Standard Mode: Normal dehumidification operation.
  • Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower fan speed for quieter operation. Ideal for bedrooms.
  • Rainy Day Mode: Optimized for high humidity conditions.
  • Dry Mode: Provides powerful dehumidification for rapid drying, such as for clothes.

4.5 24-Hour Timer

Press the Timer button to set a delayed start or stop time for the dehumidifier. You can set the timer in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.

4.6 Drainage Options

The HM2002 offers two methods for water removal:

  • Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The dehumidifier collects water in its 1.5-liter internal water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the tank, empty the water, and reinsert it securely to resume operation.
  • Continuous Drainage: For extended operation without manual emptying, connect the included 100cm silicone drainage hose to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a floor drain or a larger container, ensuring it is sloped downwards for proper water flow.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

5.1 Cleaning the Water Tank

  1. Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the water tank from the unit.
  3. Empty any collected water.
  4. Clean the tank with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the dehumidifier.

5.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter (usually on the back or side of the unit).
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Alternatively, use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
  4. Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

5.3 Storage

If the dehumidifier will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
  2. Empty and clean the water tank.
  3. Clean the air filter.
  4. Store the dehumidifier in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

6. Troubleshooting
