3. Setup Guide

3.1 Powering On

  1. Connect the power adapter to the camera's power input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. The camera will power on and initiate its self-check process. Wait for the indicator light to flash, indicating it's ready for connection.

3.2 App Download and Account Registration

The Winees monitor operates via a dedicated mobile application. Search for "MIPC" in your device's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store) and download it. Follow the in-app instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.

3.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the MIPC app and tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
  2. Select your camera model from the list.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct.
  4. Once connected, the camera's indicator light will turn solid, and you will see the live feed in the app.

3.4 Mounting the Camera

The Winees monitor can be placed on a flat surface or mounted on a wall or ceiling for optimal viewing angles. Ensure the mounting location provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor and is within range of your Wi-Fi signal.

  • Tabletop Placement: Simply place the camera on a stable, flat surface.
  • Wall/Ceiling Mounting: Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to secure the camera. Drill pilot holes if necessary, insert wall plugs, and attach the bracket. Then, secure the camera to the bracket.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and PTZ Control

Once connected, open the MIPC app to view the live feed from your camera. You can control the camera's pan (360° horizontal rotation) and tilt (110° vertical movement) directly from the app to adjust the viewing angle. The camera also supports 8X digital zoom for closer inspection.

4.2 Two-Way Audio

The camera features built-in microphone and speaker, enabling two-way audio communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera, and listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.

4.3 Advanced Night Vision

Equipped with infrared (IR) LEDs, the camera provides clear black-and-white video even in complete darkness, with an effective range of up to 33 feet (10 meters). The IR-CUT switch automatically adjusts between day and night modes based on ambient light conditions.

4.4 AI-Based Detection and Alerts

The Winees monitor features intelligent detection capabilities, including:

  • Intelligent Tracking: The camera can automatically follow detected motion.
  • Human Shape/Face Detection: Distinguishes human figures from other movements, reducing false alarms.

4.5 Video Recording and Storage

4.6 Alexa Integration

The Winees monitor is compatible with Alexa. Enable the MIPC skill in your Alexa app to control the camera using voice commands, such as viewing the live feed on compatible Alexa-enabled devices.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the MIPC app for firmware updates to ensure your camera has the latest features and security enhancements.
  • Placement: Avoid placing the camera in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Define specific detection zones to exclude areas with frequent, irrelevant movement.
Camera alarm sounds when detecting movement (as per review).
  • This feature might be enabled by default. Check the app's settings for "Alarm" or "Siren" functions related to motion/sound detection and disable them if not desired.
